Arxis is a self-assembling, bioresorbable nanocomposite designed to be used in minimally-invasive orthopedic reconstructive surgery. Inspired from biological systems, Arxis is composed of DNA base pairs that form various self-assembled nanoscale, structural and functional supramolecules. Due to their unique biological, physiochemical, and mechanical properties, DNA based supramolecules are promising materials to serve as the next generation of orthopedic implants.
